Hello! I am the owner and lead designer of Iron Bear Graphic Designs. I specialize in freelance design for medium to small businesses. I also love to help everyday people make their memories come alive by turning their graphics into something special.

For those who want more story:

I am a proud Canadian born and raised in Northern Ontario. After a 30 year career as an elite gymnastics coach, I returned to school and earned anOntario College Advanced Diplomawith honors in graphic design at Canadore College. I can’t remember a time in my life where I wasn’t designing in one way or another. One of my biggest passions is taking old outdated designs that struggle with modern technology and breathing new life into them I give them a chance to shine once again. Now with the aide of Adobe CC and Nikon, I try to capture the world around me and share it with everyone I can. I can meet all your design needs from a simple logo to a full branding for any business. I have a portable photo studio and love the challenge of not just taking a picture but creating a beautiful memory. When I was in my early 20’s I was fortunate enough to get a job as an airbrush artist while on summer break from coaching. This opportunity rekindled my youthful passion for making art and I’ve been working on art ever since. My personal art style is eclectic as I see beauty in almost everything and love working in all mediums. As a gym coach I was always shooting high speed video and pictures to help the athletes see visually the area they needed to improve. I would then create a DVD portfolio at the end of each season so they could see their hard work and improvement from year to year. I also love the challenge of restoring old photos and digitizing 35 mm slides into large picture files in unique artistic ways to help you enjoy old memories on modern devices.

I live with my wife in a tiny house and we consider ourselves to be minimalists, although some could argue we still have a way to go yet. Nothing would make me happier than to travel our beautiful country in a renovated school bus with my wife, making a living creating art and designs. I believe in the motto “Hippie wife, happy life” as she is and will always be my favorite muse. We are avid hikers and love to meet new challenges and get off the beaten path when ever we get the chance. We’ve spent days on the trails all over Canada and look forward to spending the rest of our lives living in the moments that bring us true joy.
